I love reading the Ardent Sparrow blog (you might remember Rebecca, she has guest posted here a few times). I always find inspiring images on Rebecca's blog with so many great colors and project ideas. As I was catching up on my blog reading the other day I found another amazing Ardent Sparrow post with a music video. I completely fell in love with the song, it just spoke volumes to me and I've been listening to it over and over again ever since.
My favorite part of the lyrics is 'it was harder than we'd dreamed, but I believe, that's what the promise is for...' because I want to live by that everyday. I hope that I can always see my glass as half full. I know there are going to be tough times, but sometimes I find myself looking forward to those times. My first semester of college was a huge challenge, I've never faced any struggle for such a long time, yet during that time I was so close to God that I literally felt Him there in everyday. It seems like when everything is going good, it's easy to forget what we 'need' and the people that are always there for us when things get bad. It's like a promise. ♥

A Picnic State of Mind
Hi everyone! It’s an honour to once again step in for Jessica! I am Rebecca of {The Ardent Sparrow} (Shop, Blog) Summer is in full swing here and we’ve been enjoying every minute... My two year old’s favourite thing to do these days is have a picnic... By that, I mean she loves to eat on a blanket in the backyard! These picnic ideas are a bit more inspirational... But I love sitting on well-loved quilt in the backyard, watching my girls enjoy a meal... That’s pretty close to perfect for me! Enjoy... And perhaps this post will put you in a picnic state of mind.

handmade with love
Greetings everyone! I’m Rebecca of {The Ardent Sparrow}. I’m thrilled to be filling in for Jessica today! I adore her and her blog... And I’m honoured to be hosting!
For those of you who don’t know me... I am a jewelry designer from Canada. I’m an elementary school teacher on leave, raising my two little girls, Brennah who’s nearly two and a half and Leah, six months old. I love what I do... And I LOVE blogging... It’s like curating my own daily museum!
With Mother’s Day quickly approaching, I thought it would be lovely to share a few ideas for some simple yet beautiful handmade projects! I’ve tried to consider all skill levels... I can’t sew (Desperately wish I could) and I can’t crochet (Considering learning... But trying to figure out where to find the time)... Yet I can actually see myself being able to complete some of these gorgeous projects... I hope you enjoy!
And to those of you who have had the joy of experiencing Mother’s Day, enjoy! I feel confident that there are few things greater than being someone’s mother! Cheers to you all! And Happy Mother’s Day!

To say that next week will be crazy is an understatement. I have finals coming up, so I have a lot of studying to do. Therefore, I've asked 3 lovely bloggers and etsy shop owners to guest post this week. With Mother's Day coming up just around the corner (May 9th) I have decided to dedicate the entire week to mothers. Here is the weeks line-up:
Not only are these ladies awesome bloggers, but they all have amazing etsy shops. Take a look at each of their shops and check out their blogs, then make sure you come back here next week to read their posts. ♥

something special.
Dear lovely blog reader, I have some exciting news this morning. BlueheartBoutique is participating in it's first giveaway ever! I was invited by Rebecca from The Ardent Sparrow to be a contributer to a week long series of giveaways! There are three prizes a day and one winner gets all three prizes! I found so many lovely shops to add to my favorites. Rebecca also has a beautiful jewlery shop of her own.
If you would like to check out the giveaway for today, read this post. Make sure you check out my shop.

And here are a few new things from my shop.

Another sweet suprise I discovered yesterday was that my concrete and honey tank was featured on the front page of etsy. However, it was at 4am in the morning where I live so naturally I was trying to get some beauty sleep. Luckily, I have discovered the lovliest site called Craft Cult where you can find out if you were featured in any recent storque posts or on the front page. It's a really spiffy tool and another great way to find some new shops to heart.
